Jennings and Williams on the depth chart means the Giants knew if this sort of thing happened, they had insurance. Feel bad for Wilson because he showed flashes last year and battled back to get on the field after his injury.

When it comes to your neck it's best to give it up while you are still in good enough health to not be parlyzed. You dont wanna end up in a wheelchair the rest of your life.

You can always tell who hasn't watched ANY games...

My understanding is he's being held out for cautionary (and obvious) reasons... he went through a bunch of tests yesterday, and is going to be getting a full workup and evaluation this weekend/next week.

The team has been planning for a development like this (jennings/andre) but it's sad to see happening.

He also ran through the Saints when they went up there

I remember watching like :damn: this dude is killin us
The game against philly you claim he did good in he had 1 td and 6 carries for less than 2

lol dude is not good. He has not produced any performanced noteworthy. a Rare quality game means nothing , fcking mark ingram had a quality game or so last season. Dude is average at best, If you guys like him thats ok, but lets not act like he aint in closer to the bottom than the top with rb's.

You sound like a guy that argues record sales = quality music.

The reason its depressing that he's hurt, and the reason we're upset... is because he's showed dynamic change of direction, to go with top-end speed AND he runs with power. A guy like that is super useful. Obviously he had trouble fumbling, obviously he also had inconsistency... but that's nothing we haven't seen from most talented backs in their first few years in the league.

That right there is a talented back. Unfortunately, we may not see if he can put it all together.

David Wilson reportedly needs 'miracle' to play again

David Wilson tweeted Wednesday thathis neck "burner" was fine, but apparently not everyone close to the situation reciprocates that optimism.

According to Conor Orr and Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, multiple sources believe it's a longshot that the New York Giants' running back returns to the field.

One unnamed source with knowledge of the running back's medical condition told NJ.com that Wilson "needs a miracle" to return.

The report follows coach Tom Coughlin's palpable disappointment after Wilson left the field when he said, "We were all praying that it wouldn't be an issue."

Wilson injured his neck in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles last October. NFL Media's Kimberly Jones reported that Wilson has an appointment in Manhattan's Hospital for Special Surgery on Monday with the surgeon who performed his neck fusion in January.

The Giants, much like the Green Bay Packers, are one of the NFL's more cautious teams when it comes to clearing players with neck injuries.

While Big Blue signed Rashad Jenningsto start ahead of Peyton Hillis, Michael Cox and rookie Andre Williams, none offer the burst and dynamic ability of Wilson.

The 23-year-old could be another in a long list of NFL players whose careers were stunted before they ever really got off the ground.
