Come to Boston and win us a title :wow:

Damn I wish Pierce played with somebody like this in his prime. If Pierce and KG were together in their 20s, they would've ran circles around the east. Guess what I'm trying to say is I hate seeing PRIME years wasted. It's not fair. The team AD is playing with is the same kind of teams Pierce played on(not comparing Pierce to AD :whoa:).

The Lakers have a long history of getting stars while giving very little in return. Not everyone is that fortunate. Anyone recall what they gave up to get Kareem or the picks for magic or worthy? Vlade for Kobe? The rights to a second round pick and kwame brown for pau. Andrew Bynum and maybe a role player for Dwight.

Kareem wanted to come to LA and orchestrated it.

Cavs did some dumb trade that ended up being Magic.

Kobe was a 13th round pick, that was just good scouting.

Memphis wanted to start the rebuild(and got Marc Gasol from it).

Bynum was playing as effectively as Dwight the year before he was traded.

Anthony Davis is the best player in the league in terms of his skill-set. He shoots. He has a beautiful post game. He rebounds. He jump-starts fast breaks. He blocks and alters shots. He can fit in any style of offense (up-tempo or half court). He's an underrated passer. If healthy, he's a better two-way player than Paul George, who many consider the best in the game. He's the complete package. He offers more than LeBron or Kawhi, championship pedigree aside.

Dude just needs to stay healthy.

I'm no type saying any of these were untrue. Kareem wanted Los Angeles or New York since he had roots in both places. My point is that the Lakers have consistently been involved in a lot of trades where they didn't give up much and got a lot in return. The cavaliers trade was their 1982 pick that turned out to be worthy. They gave away their 1979 pick to the Lakers as well?

Matching the offer sheet for Eric Gordon, signing Tyreke Evans.....team just made stupid decisions left and right trying to compete. You get a dude like AD you make sure you are ass for the first 2-3 years to make sure you get lottery picks to pair him with.

Coulda had Noel on a rookie contract, instead they overpay for a league-average PG in Jrue Holiday :what:
