It's more of a stretch to say a duo is better than another duo based off of one album.

Look mayne...I love Ball & G...LOVE their chit...

...but DPGC?? Dey cycolicno beeitch-ass niccas, doe!

They are the embodiment of gangsta hip hop imo. And the chemistry...
when Daz & Young Gotti get on a track, you know they gonna act way 2 crip!

I mean, just listen to the beginning of this mayne...you gon' be ready to walk!

:pachaha: but solo a artist gets a pass?

Who? Slick Rick? When people place Slick Rick in high regard, it's bigger than just that one album. I'm sure if you compared to Slick Rick to Rakim or some of his other contemporaries, people wouldn' place him as highly.

Classic track

:wow:

Yes, I do think that Daz & Kurupt have better chemistry on the mic that Ball & G.

But lets not go off Dogg Food alone. We just gonna :mjpls: "Cali iz Active", "Dillinger & Young Gotti" and "Dogg Chit". Those three albums alone diminish the Dogg Food legacy. shyts was ass

Dillinger and Young Gotti was a great fukking album man did you even listen to it?

8ball and Mjg have a better group catalogue, but in terms of solo work and who had the best album, dpg takes it

Ultimately it comes down to preferences

I prefer daz and kurupt

So you're saying that Dogg Pound has an album besides Dogg Food that can go head to head with:

Coming Out Hard
On The Outside Lookin' In
On Top Of The World
In Our Life Time Vol. 1
Space Age 4 Eva
Livin' Legends
Ridin' High (this one's borderline wack and stands as the only blemish on their catalog)

I haven't heard the album Ball & G dropped on Grand Hustle or the independent album they dropped that same year.

I haven't listened to enough of either duo's solo albums to make a fair judgement. Based on the group albums though, comparing Dogg Pound to Eightball & MJG is like comparing Snoop Dogg to Scarface. Yes, Doggystyle could go up against any album in Face's catalog, but overall, Face's catalog >>>>>> Snoop's.

the first "dillinger and young gotti", yes

"doggy bag", "tha last of tha pound", "2002" as well

***snorts 328seconds***
Kurupt always outshined daz
Ball n g complimented each other every song

and they took a garbage throwaway quik beat and made replayable, could no other artist make this beat what it was
Quik even tried freaking the beat again for his album

and it didnt work like it did with ball n g.
