Ferguson was solid. I don't know why people in here tryin to shyt on him.. Was he Joe Thomas?

No but he was solid and he never missed a snap in 10 seasons..

His cap number was high but the Jets probably tried to play him offering 3 or 4 million

You gotta remember most offensive linemen were really smart guys on and off the field. Ferguson was never a huge immovable object, his game relied on good technique, finesse and footspeed. Unfortunately he is slowing down as he hits his 30's. He's still a starting caliber LT, imo, but no where near the top 10 level guy I thought he was in his prime. He's leaving the game with his health intact, millions of dollars in the bank, and probably a future in Youth Ministry/Motivational speaking or maybe Karate or something. Dude was Black Excellence on and off the field and I wish him the best.
