DC Comics Vs. Marvel Comics

Marvel characters are people first and heroes second while DC is heroes first and people second. Except for Batman.
That's not a bad thing. Him being flippy floppy is a tiring aspect to his character.
Maybe for some. I dig the unpredictability.

I'm a Batman stan
but X-men always appealed to me more than anything outside of Batman whether it be DC or Marvel
No one cared about Iron Man, Cap America or Thor in the 90s
It was all about Batman, X-men and Spiderman

From what I've heard from people who still read comics, DC is kicking Marvels ass. Even though I like Marvel more, apparently, they have serious continuity issues and have to reboot the universe every single year.

marvel hasnt had a reboot yet
DC at it's best has the better stories, IMO.
Then it kinda....... thins out.
Like if DC had the best 10 stories in comics history by default, Marvel would have the next 40 in a row (not counting other companies)

I'm biased towards marvel cause i read them more.
I love Green lantern: Rebirth, Alan Moore's superman stories, Batman stuff from various eras, Batman/Superman among others, but I'm not latched to the characters as much overall outside of bats
But i've latched on to Marvel storylines more. Dissassembled, New Avengers, House of M, Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, Siege, Fear itself, Age of Ultron, Infinity, Secret Wars....

They didn't? I haven't been reading, and maybe "reboot" is the wrong term, but how would you describe whats listed here:

When it comes to stories they are about the same since they pretty much have the same writers.
But as far as characters I think marvel has dc beat because marvel heroes are more flawed and there characters are more human.

Outside of live action movies, DC kicks Marvel's ass in every other category

I always liked Marvel characters better. But to be fair the peers/cousins who were older that got me into comics in the first place had that bias and I think I just followed their lead. So I never gave DC a fair shake. I did collect some Batman but other than that and random one off graphic novels I barely read any DC and don't even know much about it to compare. I do think Superman is just a terrible character tho. And being the lead guy didn't really make me curious to check DC out either.
