Good post.
People ignore Go-Go’s contribution to the Punk/Hardcore scene during the 80’s
Also I’m really interested in cats like Tony Kill who’s putting his own spin on it:
Punk music started in D.C too

Not saying I don’t like nor support DMV Hip Hop but it would be nice if we could keep the spirit of GoGo music and culture alive at the same time and try to experiment with adding GoGo into Rap again; would be interesting hear elements of GoGo on a Trap beat like you do with NO Bounce music. @IllmaticDelta What you think?
Also, Ion like how some of these new young nikkas out here are slandering GoGo and going uncheckedBunch of hypebeast bamma ass nikkas.
.Overnight Scenario was the very first GoGo joint that I was consciously aware of as a really young moe back then. I’m talking about being on the cheese bus on my way to and from William Beanes Elementary in grimy ass Suitland not too far from the now-gone Homer Ave projects crankin to Overnight Scenario with kids from kindergarten to 4th grade in acapalla beating on the seats and windows and shytWe were serious asf lol.
We need to bring that feeling back into GoGoIt’s crazy how everybody and their mama tryna be a rapper nowadays out here. I’m not sure about that but, we definitely made a huge dent in the hardcore scene that cements us with the legends. shyt, even now with Damage City fest coming up
.You mean like this?
Punk music started in D.C too

Believe it or not, Emo music also got its origins in DC too; it’s practically the offspring of the local Punk scene.
