It is...especially in the Northern Virginia. I literally see more black people with other races than I have with other black people.

Check out Hyattsville and Silver Spring. If you want to live in the limits of D.C., there's no place for you to live that is all black and safe. Either you stay in NE/SE around blacks (but, its mad grimey) or you live up in NW but, it's getting more

- Black American women who stopped dating black American men and date Haitians and other Caribbean men because they feel Caribbean men treat them well and black American men dont.
- Meanwhile you have Caribbean women who dont date caribbean men and date black American men because they feel black American men are more modern/forward thinking and Caribbean men are too old fashion when it comes to treatment of women and gender roles and so on
I think one of the problems in the black american community is that certain rap music has made it popular to mistreat women. Women are mistreated everywhere in the world . Hell some parts in the Caribbean you can still beat your wife and cops wont interfere. It happens but isnt talked about. But when you have a few clowns putting it on blast and bragging about over the airwaves and got kids thinking it's cool it will make SOME women who have never even been in a position to be mistreated/abused to feel a certain type of way by the people she perceives are doing these things.
Thus why ive never been a big fa of this "freedom of expression" model. There has to be certain limits

That neighborhood is good. It used to be hood years ago, then it started attracting more Buppies and it was one of my favorite spots. Now, there's alot of people of the gluten free yogurt eating variety but, there's still alot of blacks up there. Just letting you know...its gonna get worse
It's just called Shaw/Howard. U-Street is to the left of Georgia Ave. LeDroit Park to the right. The further you go up Georgia Ave, it turns into Petworth. I would check out Columbia Heights and Adams Morgan too as they're right next to those areas.

When I first moved to DC, my best friend lived over in Georgetown. There was no metro line that went to Georgetown so I just took the bus. 14th street to 16th street was like the dividing line between white and black D.C. The sorta cacs you saw over in Georgetown, Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom would never be caught dead across team but, over the years they came slowly and slowly to the point I saw all sorts condo buildings shoot up and hipster restaurants I know no D.C. nikka would wanna eat at open. You know its time when Kale Restaurants come to the neighborhood.
