I agree, it is nothing, incredibly pathetic and idiotic. It's important to understand though, that these people want to believe in something, they want to feel apart of a cause, a higher purpose, elevate themselves from the mundane trappings of everyday existence by trading gift cards, translating online chats, whatever the fukk they do, in their mind they are living this adventure, this epic struggle against evil. People are really susceptible to this kind of thinking, it's the kind of adolescent fantasy, wishful thinking that ALL of us possess to a degree, but these people are throwing their whole lives away for it. They want their lives to mean more. Good and evil as easily identifiable targets, and clear cut paths to each.

90 percent of these cases sound like classic examples of entrapment that benefit from genereous reading of the law. A couple in Canada actually just had their convictions overturned because the Judge agreed they got set up.
