DC Studios’ 'SUPERGIRL' | 6.26.26

Isn't she 21 in the comic? That's what I've read online. In the movie teaser, they say that she's 23, so they've actually slightly aged her up in the movie.

Anyway, the teaser made me less hyped for the movie. Hopefully, the full trailer entices me, but for now, meh.

They don't give her actual age in the comics, but Supergirl acts pretty motherly towards Ruthye, which makes me view Supergirl as more in the 29-35 range while Ruthye looks and acts like someone who's in the 11-14 range.

Also visually, Supergirl doesn't look like someone in their early 20s in that comic to me.

But again, I don't mind them adjusting Supergirl's age in the movie. It aint that important. I'm guessing they're going to go with a more slightly big sister role for Supergirl and Ruthye's relationship. They change things up for movies and tv shows all the time. As long as they keep the spirit of the comic's theme's, which the trailer seems to do. Also the all the scenes in the trailer are from the 1st few scenes in the comic, so they haven't much of anything if they're closely following the comic.
