The police gets to shoot people without consequence? They do not face any conviction time, regardless of evidence presented? We have the biggest incarceration population in the world and most inmates are in the system do to non-violent drugcrimes?The whole mass incarceration movement broke apart families and black and brown men are disproportionately in the system?

Oh, and because of this, I will not be voting this year.

Not exactly, but I see nothing wrong with it. It just says no concrete policies on the spot. That makes sense, but for those who feel like the DNC is just paying them lip-service it is confirmation bias. As a rule politicians should probably not promise things on the spot that they have not thought through.

what are you talking about? of course there should be repercussions for police brutality and excessive use of force. not sure how you could surmise my comment was in odds with that.

you do realize that many of these police depts across the country are only getting dragged and forced to start making changes because of obama putting the doj on their azz right?

the memo advising surrogates or someone who's not in a position of power (yet) to not write a check they can't cash is common sense.

and i don't agree with not voting at all for a potus because i do think there is a difference in how their platforms and party will affect domestic and judicial policy. but at the very least you should vote for down ballot reps and issues.
