It's not an opinion it's fact based on what people in the business say. Jim Ross stone cold and Jericho all used that word in their podcast when referring to that match. So are they wrong too?
It is an opinion though, and if you claim that JR, SC, and Jericho use it that way, I'm content with saying I'm going with Al Snow and we'll just agree to disagree.
Seems you and the folks on your side are the ones that have a problem with that though.

He didn't put bryan over

You don't know what put over means, it doesn't mean lose, it means get the crowd behind or invested in the face.

Bryan was already over with the crowd, Batista didn't do shyt to put him over at all.

Put over ≠ get over. You are taking about getting over, Batista said he put D-Bry over at Mania...and he did.

Disagree and like the others we'll just agree to disagree

Ain't nobody agreed to disagree breh :wow: you are just flat out wrong.

Over has more than ONE meaning

You are over when the fans give a fukk about you, doesn't matter if they're cheering you or booing you, if they enjoy seeing you talk or give/get the beats you are over

You go over your opponent when you win.

You put over your opponent when you lose.

It's not interpretation, it's probably like a century of accepted terminology :dahell:

Going over has nothing to do with winning or losing fixed matches, going over only has to do with the crowd buying into the face, that is it.
If you mad about that, tough titty.

Batista has always opposed HHH and Vince stance on a lot of shyt and has always been an avid listener of the ppl. Remember when he took Titus stance on the 3 month suspension for pulling Vince arm by calling the industry prejudice? I saw that whole backstory to his comeback. When he saw that the crowd wasn't feeling him anymore, he played heel, put many up and coming talent over and retired. He's generally a stand up guy that I respect.

Batista also let MVP get a win during his stupid losing streak storyline.
