It’s an average CBM at best. The dry/dark humor didn’t hit with me much; it didn’t fit the character. The script needed work and seemed like a mess at times (the unnecessary fight with JSA). I liked the BA action scenes, especially the first one he has with Intergang.

And I did like that they didn’t do a whole bunch of exposition on his background

Aldis Hodge is legit my favorite character in that movie. He fukking nailed that shyt. It's the kind of portrayal that makes people reassess the character and take them more seriously. And I liked Hawkman in JLU back in the day. And then Hodge took it up higher taking shots and giving them right back. Dude was cold as fukk.
