Saw a portable earthquake bytch post as an ad(random bytch paying for an ad)on my timeline, so I deactivated my account probably for good since I wasn’t using IG cuz of the ads

It’s one of the few apps I actually enjoy tbh. Everyone I interact with on there actually interacts and we actually all know each other.

My other social media platforms have become flooded with endless promotions and really people just selling something and some even while they have you added, don’t follow you so it’s basically like you’re adding friends for the numbers/quantity and not for the quality of interaction.

My instagram has been tailored properly, I see what I like to see and interact with people who care

Plus, I just like the format better anyways, I be making/editing/creating 4-5 long videos like movie trailers and break them up and upload them to my feed.

I’ll admit, most social media has gone too far with the idea of selling you something. Even when people aren’t trying to directly sell you a product or get you to support them, they unwittingly promote lifestyle and cultural ideas that need your likes and attention for validation.

Instagram is definitely plagued with that, but it’s one of the platforms I’ve been able to tailor to view who and what I should be looking at while the presentation on the platform fits my aesthetic. Pics and videos.
