You admittedly don't read post thats disagree with your position, so your confusion on the lack of features present in the PS4 is not surprising.

I don't have any confusion at all in the features of either console.

The support for DLNA and MP3s is software based and considering the culture in Japan, the chances of it being enabled during the Japanese launch are high.

Unlike the other players in the game :wtf:
Xbox has a music and movie service they sell, over XBL and Windows PC which dwarfs the amount of registered users on sony platforms but I'll let you tell it
Xbox even has a movie division that is focusing on making XBL basically a cable channel
While sony been just sitting on its hands for the last decade. Now ya know :lawd:
Microsoft bought the rights to sell other studio's content. Sony has a direct hand in producing it and is one of those studios. They're more of a stakeholder than MS is. I'm not saying I'm okay with Sony's actions, only that I get it. MS is not a major motion picture studio, they're not a major television producer and they don't run one of the largest record labels in the world. That's the only distinction I've made, but ok. Of all the shyt to argue, you choose this?

:heh:

I'm not coming back for a reply, there's no need to argue facts.

The average PS4 user will need at least 3-4 additional set top boxes to match the functionality of the Xbox One.

It must be a pathetic existence to be a Sony loyalist...
what functionality? the ability to plug a cable box up to it and have it overlay info on the screen? my TV itself, my AV receiver, my HTPC i got 3 devices on every TV that can stream audio, play MP3s and stream videos. i was never looking for the PS4 to do those things.

yall concerned trolls kill me. yall sound like Republicans bytching about the Obamacare website not working right when we know they really wanna eradicate Obamacare not fix a website.

Unlike the other players in the game, Sony's a content provider as far as music, TV and movies. Sucks, but they're not gonna sell us media and then also provide us a mechanism to get around them selling us that media. Still, I'd stay tuned for a workaround of some sort, you never really know what can happen.

I agree with this but I think it was a business decision over anything. I never used it on ps3 because it never worked right in game, but always hooked my ipod up to my 360. Either way, it's not a deal breaker for me, but I can see it being one for others.
