Gets really creepy seeing Facebook ads that appear in your newsfeed, making it look like your dead friend is recommending it to you.

So when people write on the dearly departeds' timeline, are we imagining they have a device and a network connection in Heaven? Heaven obviously has had internet for eternity already cause I can't imagine that we'd invent something G-d hadn't thought of. Therefore, all the tech ever is already in Heaven?

I think its just a way of feeling that connection you had with someone (no homo).

No different than visiting a grave site and speaking aloud.

I'm still friends with this dude I went to high school with on there. fukked up story:
Dude I used to be cool with and I had a falling out. We used to be cool but cuz switched it up on me for some reason. Dude transferred schools a while later. He started hittin me up talkin bout he needed to talk to me some years later on Facebook. I was like naw I'm straight. Turned out dude was in the hospital and ended up dying shortly thereafter. shyt still be fukking with me.
