Never knew there was an alternate ending for Menace.
Most discourse I've seen over it is people trying to deny the strong points that the whole movie was Caine's life flashing before his eyes up until the last scene and he was just relieving everything that got him there, hence all that narration.​

A real chair, I might add.

fukkin' HATED that extra jab at the end as a kid when I saw that movie so long ago.
fukkin' movie was almost as depressing as Requiem for a dream when you summarize Duke's whole trajectory.
