I actually agreed with Romanowski on this. If Moss at least attempts to jump for it or tries to make a play for it Ed Reed may have focused on going after Moss for the hit. Instead since Moss didn't even jump he was able to just sit back and make the pick. He may have still made it but I still think Moss should've gone after it.

Moss ran one of the laziest curl routes Ive ever seen that should have been picked off by Jimmy Smith as well.

I couldnt believe he was still on the field after that. Manningham would have been a big help for the Niners.

i can remember multiple deep balls thrown to Randy Moss over the years, where the ball would land a few feet in front of him (on a deep ball), and he would just be out there jogging, not even attempting to make an effort to catch the ball

He didn't turn into a 35 year old superman and prevent a overthrown ball from being an interception... He was clearly half assing it breh :skip:

 People are talking like it was prime Randy Moss out there and he was some sort of integral part of the gameplan that let us down. Dude did exactly what he has all year. Had a few catches to move the chains.

 at the though that Moss, same dude who was credited by everyone from the coaching staff to his teammates top to bottom, didn't play hard in the SB because he was unhappy with a decoy role. All he said was that he didn't like it, but that he embraced it and played out his role, as the coaches acknowledged he did all year. That was just him giving a candid interview. It takes a hell of a reach to turn that into him being a malcontent.

lol Jogging on a "deep ball"... So he passed the defender "jogging" and missed a deep ball by a yard?

I mean, just by the eye test last night....Moss played a lot. It looked like he was dogging it...and when you see Boldin on the other end pretty much willing to give up an arm to win that game...IDK.

As a Niner fan that had to be frustrating.

Also maybe Im crazy and I cant find the replay of the play in real time...the Crabtree deflection in the endzone....Moss kind of stopped as the ball wasnt that far from him to make an attempt. But Id have to see it again.

You're acting like what Boldin does is solely a matter of effort. How many receivers have his combo of strength and size?

I was just using him as an example. Vernon Davis and Crabtree were both busting ass too.
