Who tf was talking about America being the most dangerous place in the world or war refugees? you got threads on this forum with people from the US talking about US cities they're scared to go to and shyt and I'm like. I'm just asking what foreigners think.

I'm aware that certain parts of Chicago are dangerous and I have no business going there but I'm also aware that there are plenty of normal people who do not live criminal lifestyles and there are plenty of peaceful areas of the city I also know that Chicago has a large tourism industry, so I'm sure it's not this big bad scary war zone that Fox and Cnn would like me to think it is.
Wasn't Home Alone set in Chicago? I mean if a young Macaulay Culkin can survive out there I'm sure I can

That shyt was in Winnetka, a rich ass northside suburb . I meant more so visiting a hood. My whole fam is from the south/west sides of Chicago so I visit often. I used to live outside Atlanta and I visited Zone 6 alot. When I was in New Orleans I visited the 9th Ward, when I was in New York I went to Jamaica Queens. Might have been dumb decisions but hey if people can live there I can easily visit. Of course all those areas can be sketchy af, but you meet some real ass people and the nice ass low key dope food spots can be hidden gems



Why go to some expensive ass Downtown Chicago Restaurant when I can go to the hood and hit up a much cheaper but just as good soul food joint

i would have no problem going to those parts of Chicago if I had family there, same way I had no problem visiting family in The Bronx, Brooklyn and Newark.

I'm not gonna make it sound completely sweet tho, when I was in Baltimore I definitely didn't go to places like Fairfield and Monument street. And some Chicago south n west side hoods are so dangerous if they were their own cities separate from the rest of the Chi they would legit statistically be among the most dangerous places in the world.
