Who cares though? Motherfukker kept that gimmick alive for almost 30 years and did more than any modern wrestler in history to keep it that way. If he wants to live his retirement as a carny, he sure as hell has earned it

Things like that are the reason why to this day WWE will never allow any wrestler to get too big. Guys like Hogan, Austin, and Rock have all the power over Vince and that eats him up inside. He doesn’t own their names and has very limited control over their intellectual property.

Cena is the last one that got close, but at the end of the day Vince still owns his government name via copyright. Vince will forever get a piece of the pie on anything Cena makes money from using his name.
