No sign of critical thought, empathy for the person they were stealing from, a sense of a moral code,
common fukking sense, civic duty, a sense of pride....nothing. Just "I want everything"....

If Black America is going to be "saved" we are going to need some serious changes....changes that I don't feel we have it in us to make. And when I say "us", I mean, blacks, whites, politicians, AMERICA.
We need more boarding schools.
We need year round education.

We could also use a creative/cultural revolution....I just mean the popular media that we consume. Hiphop/sports have failed us. Maybe it's time to give Tyrone a guitar or camcorder and make sure he actually uses them properly.
The real sad thing is that the women in that vid are or will be somebody's mother 1 day. The cycle is vicious brehs, teach the ignorant or put much distance between them and you.

You'd think that. But I bet half of these kids have never seen the show or heard about bait cars. Some probably just see it as a quick come up.
In response to the purpose, I challenge you to think about how many people watch this show and leave thinking only black people steal cars. Next time they see a person dressed with baggy jeans and a cap on the street they could associate that person with car theft.
Nevertheless, I do agree the show does try to scare people into thinking twice about stealing cars. But I feel there's a lot more going on. Just my opinion though

The show is foul...even if it's honest.
The balance between truthfulness and social responsibility can be difficult to discern...but I can't imagine that a proud black person would cosign putting these images out there. If you're black...this show is putting you on blast, and I hate that, but that's just how it is. A black rocket scientist that works at NASA is, even if on a small level, being hurt by this shyt. Cac businessmen are don't give a fukk...it's just about money.
On an unrelated note...I find this type of police work to be extremely frustrating. Stop laying out carrots. Undercover narcs. Vice cops. Bait cars. All this shyt is counter-productive and by definition creates more crime.
I dunno...I do understand the logic, nab em under a scenario where you're in charge and in control without them knowing, be proactive, etc...but it's fukking demoralizing as shyt.
the purpose of the show is to make muthafukkas think twice about stealing a car. As long as the show has been on it's amazing people still break in cars. There is no logic behind stealing a car.
