nah, Skip is a)nothing like Mariotti b)been doing his schtick for nearly 40 years.
but at ESPN Skip was a lot calmer and reasonable than he is now a few years back. Now he's just a character.

he speculated that Troy Aikman was gay. Even followed dude around for "proof."
He had been fired from 3 or 4 newspapers before he joined ESPN. In fact I think he was booted off ESPN a few years back for some reckless comments.
He used to host the Jim Rome show in the 90s and was outlandish on there too. Dude is a career troll.
But the one thing Bayless never does, that Mariotti always does, is judge athletes on moral and legal stuff unless it effects the team. Skip is a better person than Mariotti.
