There does seem to be real animosity between Wojnarowski and ESPN’s reporters. During the 2011 NBA Finals, the entire basketball media was in Dallas to report on it. After one of the games Hollinger was driving out of the parking lot in his rental car. As he got close to Wojnarowski, Spears, and Yahoo Sports NBA editor Johnny Ludden, Hollinger rolled down his window and joked, “Oh man, I could’ve taken out the whole Yahoo operation!” As he began to drive away, Wojnarowski yelled after him, “And we’d still kick your ass from the grave!” (When asked to comment, Hollinger said tersely, “I don’t remember that” and hung up on me.)

It is what it is, but Woj is still the best in the business.

When you got GMs leaking to you, and not even their underlings, you know you the boss :wow:

I don't know whether some Woj sources are fake. I know however he writes better articles than most of ESPN writers that aren't named zach lowe(and he's on grantland). ESPN knows it too :heh: And that article is dead wrong about ESPN being restrained by objectivity :russ: :skip:

As for as sports reporting, i remember hearing some years ago that some athletes would pay reporters to write favorable article.

Word, defense counts for nothing. It's understandable, which is why a lot of idiots have Steve nash as a top 5 pg. :rudy:
Nah defense counts for a lot. But Dirk's the way better playoff performer and could single handedly win you games and take you to the Finals. Dirk could carry a team much better than KG and he's more clutch.

You can have the defense and fake tough guy shyt that comes with KG though

Woj gets a pass from most because he's NOT espn, and HATES espn....myself included...but this was a good read with direct sourced contradictions

nah you missed the point, he's saying that guys like Marc Stein(news/scoop breakers) are restrained because they can't interject their own opinons slamming players/mgmt like Wojo can. Wojo basically has both jobs combined into one(reporting & columnist), where as a guy like Stein who breaks news for ESPN can't really do both. I know its a different sport, but its the same thing with the NFL, guys like Schefter and Mortensen break news, they don't write articles taking folks to task or other subjective pieces, its why people were so taken aback by Schefter ripping into Goodell during the whole Ray Rice scandal. At ESPN your usually doing one or the other, not both jobs.

So 2006 didn't happen? :stopitslime: I mean Google is your friend if you don't believe me. Dirk had Dallas contending in a stacked West even after Steve Nash and Michael Finley left. nikkas better recognize

He took Dallas to the Finals with Josh Howard, Adrian Griffin, Erick Dampier, and Devin Harris to the Finals, beat the defending champ Spurs on the road in a Game 7 and the Nash/Amare/Marion Suns to get there. Would've had a ring then if not for DWade and fukkery by the refs

ESPN do worse shyt than that. For example, if one their reporters break a story(after Jay Glazer or Woj have already done so by the way :russ:) , they will fill the airwaves with cliched drivel for the rest for the rest of the day centered around that. So yes i prefer Woj articles.
