Might not be past today, but it works today. Reserved mine online, drove to GameStop and got my "new" copy. Got it for $8 since I already had a little bit of credit.

Been wanting to get this game. Passed on it when it was $35 on psn, but couldn't pass on this deal.

When i talked to the guy at Gamestop, he somewhat implied that the price has been permanently dropped to $20 based on his impression of the way they marketed it. He said normally they advertise the normal price when it's on sale, but made no mention of it this time. At $20 there's no reason not to jump on it right now just in case though.
