That might be...but most people dont have the sense to put the shyt together or apply it into their situation. Some problems require much research and a bit of ingenuity..it is so easy--- half the job is googling..

People swear their problems are so complex, and how come I who use the same type of computer you use never have the same issues as constant as you, but im the dumb oneAs an IT person myself, one thing my boss always tells me: assume the user is lying. You will not believe how many times i have gone to help a user after they stated they restarted the system...only to have a restart cure their problem

most of the problems have to do with how the program was written or how the image was built, all it takes is for those programs to be restarted to function correctly....As IT we are trained not to trust the user. In our apprenticeships we were burned listening to users troubleshoot their own problems when they had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Wasting time after you told us u did this that and the third when you really didnt. This is why we have to take you through the steps. OUR STEPS! We will find the answer better that way. It may seem like you know the answer but there is a method to the madness, friend and what seems like someone thinking your stupid is actually a culmination of best to worst case scenario knowledge being applied to your problem. We start with the most common solution and work our way down to our end.
