How much these nikkas get paid? Can't be more than the phone operator at Walmart

20-25 depending on where they live.

I seen some helpdesk nikkas making less than $20/hr

help desk people here at the hospital make at LEAST 50k....one nikka just got back from Bora Bora with his wife. that's a 10k trip EASY.

I did helpdesk for like 4 years, its easy but not for everyone, back to back to back calls for 8 hours. Plus you fool around and run across the wrong power user that's having a bad day and that could be your job..

Can anyone here tell me how to get into IT. I asked the guys that work here but they just tell me to get certified or something. Anyway if anyone has the time, I've been doing security for like three years make 12.00 and just sit on my butt most of the work day. I wanna just fix peoples computers and all that stuff. You just apply at places and tell them you passed some Microsoft test on your own? IT people here said you don't need school really.
