I can co-sign the fukk out of this shyt right here

I mean...you actually AGREE to their price that they said and they still back out??

motherfukkers shouldn't even be allowed to use kijiji if they ain't got the money

and another thing...I get that some of them might be students and shyt..and I'll try to meet them half way when it comes to meet up. But ain't no way I'm driving to another fukking city to sell something worth $40-$50

It's baffling man. It really is. Older folk want something and they want to get a deal done ASAP. Young folk want something, haggle you then need to take time to think about it. :ohhh:

From renting out condos to selling items on craigslist and ebay, young folk just seem to be extrmelely wishy washy, terribly immature, selfish and just seem to lack common decency for the most part. When I say "young" I'm talking under 30.

That's my rant for the day.

Here's another situation. So I'm renting out a spot of mine. This clown messages me at 10:30 that she needs to see it before 12. I call her up and tell her I'm uptown but can be downtown in an hour. Shes like "I want to see it sooner but I'll meet you for 11:30. Rush down fr that time. Then the clown texts me @ 11:25 talking about delaying till 12. I say "OK". Clown never showed up. Womp womp

The lack of respect for people's time gets me. I put something up on Craigslist. Got a call from this guy, I'm assuming he's early 20's. We made an appointment to meet and he never shows. Didn't return texts either. Nothing wrong with changing your mind just let a nikka know so he can make other moves!

This dude haggles about the price. I ask him how much he wants to pay. I agree to it. He takes almost a week to get back to me then says he changed his mind since the price is too high. :mindblown:

WTF is wrong with people?

Holy shyt! shyt just happened to me yesterday! Over a craigslist purchase too! After agreeing to a price :youngsabo:, 20+ yo nikka takes 3 days to hit me back:wtf: and says he don't want to do the deal and decides to keep the merchandise:snoop:. I look this morning....

this nikka got another ad up with a different title so he can "pump fake" (pause) a nikka:mindblown:

Agree with OP. I'm in my early 30s. By some standards, I'm :flabbynsick: but :manny:. Everyday conduct and simple things seem to be lost/gone. For example:

-public etiquette (As a teen, I remember at least being mindful of our language if a 50+ yo person was in the vicinity but now :what:)
-customer service job (Called a store, sales rep answered the phone smacking gum:snoop:. Hung up on the broad.)
-attitude (as an uncle, I see a blah-zay, lackadaisical, "fukk it" attitude running around)
-social responsibilities (21 yo coworker of mine said she wasn't voting bc she "has no time" :why:; I volunteer and never see any taking the time to give back)

Not all 18 to 25 year olds are this way but, in DC, these kids make a nikka :snoop::what::why: and :wtf: at the same damn time!!

LOL at cursing and poor manners being invented by the youth in the last few years. Bro, young people are immature and lack awareness...that is a product of being younger and inexperienced. These are things you shake as you age. Now that you are older, you have a firmer grip on responsibilities and how to conduct yourself.

Thats the way it goes --- this generation isnt special...You're in your 30s, right? Didnt they call your cohort the "slacker generation" LOL.

Young people aint the problem...the thread and what you wrote is called "getting old"

Understand where you are coming. With age, comes maturity.

I look at the differences btwn this current 18-25 yo's vs. when I was that age. Never blamed the "youth" for inventing cursewords or anything of that sort. shyt, I did it. Please note that I did say its some not all of the aforementioned group. What I see exponentially growing is the increasing lack of an internal filter amongst the youth. As I stated before in my original post, at 18, I was aware of who was around (i.e. kids, seniors) and would act accordingly and curve some, not all, of my offensive language. At 18, I worked in retail and I would never chew gum at work, let alone chew it while answering the phone. At 18, I involved myself in numerous volunteer activities (i.e. National Rehab Hospital, Bruce Monroe Elem School), and now I asked the 18 to 25 yo's now about volunteering and they :heh: in my face. Most note, that these "actions" weren't just me. They were also shared with my classmates and numerous friends, so no, I don't ever recall ever being called the "slacker generation."

I want this group to enjoy being young to the fullest. You only get it once. And yes, I am older but it doesn't matter. Rude and loud (for no reason) in public is nonetheless unacceptable.

We can agree to disagree. I'm good with that. This is the anonymous innanets.

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for
authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place
of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their
households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They
contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties
at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers." - Plato

:comeon: Shut up, ok?

You might have volunteered at that age, but you damn sure weren't in the minority.

You might have asked some people that age that question, but you damn sure didn't ask a representative sample

First,. Guess I offended you.:rudy: Never said I was in the minority. My point is today's youth's internal filter have lowered.

You don't like my observation? Agree to disagree and carry on.

Of course we cursed as kids but there was a lot more respect for elders then. Kids now just lack any kind of training.

This kid was supposed to shovel my mom's driveway. Got a big ass price of $15/hr. Took 2 hours..and barely shoveled shyt. He tells my mom he's going to come back tomorrow. Tomorrow comes...that nikka is nowhere to be seen.

This is the shyt I'm talking about. Cursing loud as hell on the subway, BLASTING music, telling old people to fukk off and shyt...man I rarely saw that shyt... That said at the same time I think younger folk are a lot smarter and aware than my generation...maybe that's why they're a$$holes.

Everything you're saying is exactly what older people said about you when you were younger... You just didn't notice it because you were part of the mosaic. It's always easier to view a mosaic for what it truly is when you take a few steps back and see the entire picture from a distant location.
