I wouldnt trade Kanter for DJ right now. especially not with DJ being expiring. DJ isnt that good on defense like nikkas make him out to be for one, and two, the Knicks need Kanter right now because he is very likable, plays hard, and is a double double machine. Kanter can score more if they need him to. DJ is not a scorer at all. If DJ could step up his defense he could fit really well with KP but I think Kanter gets underrated a lot because he isnt a great defender.

Kanter is on the books for a couple more years at $17M. I’d gladly take DJ, to me a perfect fit next to KP and give Willy more minutes who is an identical player.
can yall tell me why yall think the Wiz would want to give up Oubre in all of this? I think he is a developing young player. He is such a value for them with 2 years left on a deal paying him $2 mil per year. I dont feel that DJ is worth that. He clogs the lane which hinders John from doing his best work.
