Kevin love is a great defensive rebounder so he's a great defender too?

How the fukk is defensive rebounding matter more than FG% at the rim, you dolt? Chasing blocks doesn't make you a great defender either.

We all saw what happened to Bron in the same situation :lolbron: All jokes aside DJ is not Kevin Love, and chasing blocks don't make you a great defender but your ability to blocks gives defenders second thoughts before they try to take it to the hole.

How do you figure this when he was #1 in defensive rebounds in the league, did this man f*ck your girl or somethin'? :gucci:

he cant score without someone giving him a dunk. He can't make free throws so he can't play late in games.

he's no longer the best defender at his position.

He's 28/29 and we're about to see him decline when he loses his athletic ability since he did not development an auxillary offensive game

This is perfect for Lebron and Kyrie, they are already ball dominant as f*ck. He's still got another 4-5 years in his prime, he will be alright, we are talking about right now nikka.

what about late in games when he's on the bench because he can't hit ft's

TT can hit FTs at a respectable rate and he can catch alley oop dunks as well. Problem is cleveland is building to beat GS. you can't beat the warriors with a 1 dimensional center who can't score on his own and won't be playing late in games due to matchups and his lack of ft shooting.

You beat the Warriors with defense and rebounding.

how well is DJ gonna rebound when he's 25ft away from the rim guarding curry or kd on switches?

Eh, I don't think he'll be out there like that. Yeah he might have to defend a shooter every now and again, but whatever scheme he's in would have him on the weak side and rebounding.

You don't need DJ to score, Kyrie and Lebron got that. You need a defensive backstop you can funnel slashers to, somebody to crash the boards, and an outlet to alley oop to if you get double teamed. DJ fits the bill on all accounts, and TT is trash real talk that nikka got paid and mailed it in :mjlol:

golden state will run pick and roll with dray and steph against DJ and kyrie.

Guess what happens;

1. Kyrie and DJ switch and steph cooks him

2. Kyrie tries to fight over the screen steph has a lane to the rim

3. kyrie goes under steph has a wide open 3

4. kryie and dj trap steph, green plays 4 on 3

I don't want any of these situations if i'm the cavs.

You form a wall on each side of the switcher vertically, one north and one south of the switcher if that helps for you to picture it. The idea would be to funnel the ball handler towards DJ. When you got a guy like DJ you don't need to be that good defensively, you just need to be athletic and hold your position, and dare the ball handler to enter DJs domain in the key :wow:

I'd let Dray shoot a billion 3s if I could. you stay on curry's weak hand, force him to shoot a 3 that he doesn't want to, or pass it to Dray. Because Curry knows he will meet his doom in the paint against DJ. You are underestimating the effect of essentially having the paint closed off to you until further notice. :wow: If Curry and Durant win the game from behind the 3 point line there's nothing you can do. But you can live with that. But no drives to the paint, no boards. And stay on the ball handlers strong side, force him to take a shot he doesn't want to take.

I agree i'd give dray 20 3's a game but what happens when he drives then dishes to klay or kd in the corner. You can't stop that. Your hope is to let him have a lane to the basket or hope he settles for 3s

Lebron on KD. While Lebron can't really handle KD, he's a good enough defender to match athletically and force KD to his weak hand. Again with a defender like DJ you have a luxury you didn't have before. It's one thing to try to have to stay in front of somebody to prevent a drive to the basket, quite another to just have to stay on his strong side. Me personally I think basketball is a game of momentum, you need drives to the basket to give you that mojo that makes the basket seem wide open. When you got nikkaz always hanging on your dominant hand and all your sh*t is getting swatted in the paint it starts to f*ck with you mentally. I think GSW is good enough to win 1-2 games shooting 3s, I don't think they are going to win 4 games shooting 3s. And running pick and roll with DJ will be some :banderas: type sh*t

Lebron and Kyrie are good enough for this to happen 10-15x a game :bryan:

lebron on kd? :ld: there was a stat where players lebron guarded shot an upwards of 70% against him in the finals. He cannot guard KD at all anymore. that's why he want's PG on the team to guard him while he guards dray
