Tell that to the fake thugs, that did so for the clout and the hoes.

The reason why fake thugs even exists is because the perks of acting like a jailbird gets more recognition than the 9 to 5 dude. At least in previous generations.
Depends on what you're aiming for. If you're trying to be a street nikka or thug then yeah going to jail gets you stripes. You can't take those few knuckle heads and say all black people are like this. Majority of black people don't ever go to jail. Not saying that's what you're saying but I see it a lot in this thread already.

The black people that do good and stay away from foolishness don't get talked about nearly as much as the ones that keep going in and out of jail. It's unfair to the black people that do right and the ones that learn from their mistakes to be judged like criminals. We have enough of that from cacs. We don't need other black people to echo racist thoughts

That's true for the black folks that totally reformed their ways. Even they don't get the props to changing their life around, and get lumped in with the "washed up" crowd for simply getting clean and having a 9 to 5.

We need to install shame in our culture again like the 60s and 70s. That kept a lot more people in line, than many thought it would. Some people really live for the superficial validations of fickle people more than anything; especially the lost young brehs :ohhh:

Yeah, by 2004, that mindset FINALLY started to break in the Black Community, and also mad people started to go to college for the first time. By then, it was the twilight years of the superthug paradigm was breaking its vicegrip of the black youth. It even gave birth to blog era rap.

But nowadays, these Gen Z kids think that they are gangstas just cause they got guns. Most of them cannot fight hand to hand combat for worth a shyt, and even the oldheads are calling them out for acting stupid.
Lol. Y’all really crazy on here.
Wrong.

You living up to your username breh.
Don’t correlate a name with a person knowledge. Secondly I spent 25 of my 33 years growing up in the projects (Pomonok) I’m telling you people who have went to Jail do not wear it as a badge of honor. Every single brotha that I know from Jail has said it was a nightmare and never in your life go there. All of them have had regrets and just pray they can move on with their lives.

i don't know, twitter user. why are you tweeting about it and not being the change you want to see? where is your conviction, twitter user? maybe it's easier to sit on your phone and type this than it is to work in community centers, for NPOs, advocating and doing the work? tell me twitter user, what purpose does your tweet serve
create dialogue that may serve as a starting point for something else:ld:

It's one of the "authentic black experiences" according to white liberals, bougie blacks with sociology degrees that are insecure about their blackness, and ignorant nikkas.
Struggle, poverty, criminality, hip hop, weed, racism, racial profiling, abuse from the police, and prison are authentically black according to those folks.
