By not voting, I actually am casting a vote, an implicit one that expresses no confidence in the Democrats’ ability to address the needs of the community on whom its fortunes have undeservedly rested for half a century.

So again, Vote = solidarity. Obama/Dems in office ain't stop nikkas from getting shot. nikkas aint getting shot more often under trump. Going off statistics. Blacks are doing fine economically looking at median wage, homelessness, and employment rates from 2016 to today.

Conservative ideals at their core do not align with an emphasis on assisting lower income families, and we have been groomed to act like that means mostly blacks but that affects everyone across the board. Right now the only minority group getting personally fukked as a direct result of the trump admin is illegal immigrants.

Blacks are doing good, small businesses doing fine. My aunt still get that welfare check on the first.

At the end of the day blacks are beginning to look around after the dust settled and realize that aside from media hysteria, ain't much different. We dont need to vote dem so the south wont rise again.

The fact is, most actual racism comes from regular, already racist cacs, feeling empowered due to trumps methods of rallying the only available voter Bloc that Democrats haven't locked down.

Not voting has the same effect as voting independent to Dems. All they care about is getting the various minority voter blocs' unwavering support. We are the largest minority voter bloc behind Hispanics. If we take our votes they will not win elections. They will be forced to Bend the knee and give us as much energy as they give illegal immigrants today. The long term ramifications of this movement would benefit us for years to come.

The days of candidates talking around black issues, pulling out hot sauce when given a platform to speak on policy and their roadmap for executing them, missing multiple rallies but making sure not to miss the photo op on stage with Jay and bey would be over.

When you explain it like that, I don't think we are far off. My problem is the timing. I fully believe that would work in the long term, but think like this...

Lets say black people as a whole don't vote in 2020. Not only does Trump win, but a lot of republican seats in congress are won. They will have 2 years to do whatever they want, before another senate vote. You think a bunch of Dems will come out saying what they will do for black people that fast? Maybe... Maybe not.. They'd either get back a few seats when we all came back... Or lose more seats when they didn't learn the lesson...


Now we're at 2024. President is up again. Even more Congressional seats. Have the dems learned by then? Or we allowing ANOTHER 2-4 years of Republican rule?


Mind you, while all this time is going by, they hold the Presidency, the House and the Senate, and the Supreme Court. Anybody dies on the Court during these years, a new Republican is in there FOR LIFE. So any changes you plan on making when we finally vote, can be shot down easily. Also, you're losing seats in congress the whole time. So when you do get back to voting, you'll be at such a negative, it'll take years to get back even. So your President is going to be handcuffed the whole time. How are they going to pass these bills without Congress? And that's if your vote is going to count. Because they'll be changing voter laws, and redrawing districts, the entire time their in office.


I don't think the Dems are the blind answer here. I say again. Vote for whoever the hell is talking about our issues. If they running 20 people out there, I'm sure 1 of them has to be saying SOMETHING you like. At the end of the day there's gonna be two people standing up there. I don't think neither one is going to be begging us for our vote. But I do know one of them is actively trying to get us to not vote. And I'm not going to do what they want.
