I get what you are saying and the message you are conveying OP.
Heres the thing and why I PERSONALLY will never defend nor support a republican.
They are on the wrong side of history. PERIOD.
Universal health care, Agree 100%
Marijuana legalization, Agree 100%
abortion, Agree
womens rights in general,
immigration, I actually agree with a lot of the conservative views on illegal immigration, and being more selective with refugees though.
climate change, Agree, conservatives are fighting a losing battle, and are in denial. At the same time though, Liberal policies like carbn tax and things of that nature don't help
economically speaking (regulations), etc etc. These policies can go either way. and both sides are right...and wrong.
They appeal to "the good old days" making America great "again".
fukk that. We need to move foward and Republicans and their Conservative ideals are holding us back.
It's not a coincidence that red states take more from the government than blue states. They're stuck in their ways and value the past too much. Coal is not coming back. Oil will and should be a thing of the past.
Trump was a desperate attempt by the right to stay relevant and in power. They're in the death throws and had to appeal to the lowest common denominator in people to win. Underlying hate, fear, and nationalism.
Democrats are nowhere near perfect and I will gladly shyt on them.
But if you're trying to tell me Hillary would've been worse than Don Cheeto you're out of your mind.
My honest take is that Hillary is really no better than Trump, and her pushing her agendas would just keep ppl's heads buried in the sand like over the last 8 years.
I like the anti-establishment approach and felt Bernie should have and probably could have been a welcomed change.
It's just unfortunate that Shillary was selected and all the DNC nonsense exposed them for what they truly are.
