Now why didn't Sam Sneed ever drop an album on Death Row?

Daz Dillinger - East Coast /West Coast shyt man, and he had a tumor 'cause Tupac and them beat the fukk out of him! That's why he got a tumor and damn near died. He quit. We had a meeting one day right after we got shot at and so Tupac said to Sneed, "you just shot a video right?" So he said "yeah." Pac said "well we're gonna sit down and see if any West Coast muthafukkas is in there, and each time we see a East Coast muthafukka we gonna knock you in your muthafukkin' head." So every time they would see a East Coast dude they would kick him in the ass and Budda, you know the producer, he a bytch too 'cause he sat there and watched Sam Sneed get beat up. Didn't say shyt!

What would you have done in that situation Daz?

Daz Dillinger - I would have got up and whooped somebody's ass. I had guns so I wasn't worried about what they were doing. Me and Nate Dogg were the only ones that would be strapped up in that muthafukka. 'Cause when we would have a meeting it would be Bloods and Crips in there so it's like shyt, if we get to fighting up in this muthafukka just start shooting and run towards the door. And then you know Kurupt and Tupac got into it once. Tupac was gonna whoop the shyt out of Kurupt in Cancun. Tell somebody to ask Kurupt was Tupac gonna beat your ass, and Daz and Nate Dogg saved you from getting your ass whooped from Tupac and them?

People forget Pac was a volatile motherfukker.

The dude shot two cops who were fukkin' with a brother down in Georgia, he beat up the Hughes brothers, he was fighting and suing police depts, he was attacking folks like Quincy Jones and them for marrying White broads, and he had tons of beefs with celebrities, all before Death Row.

It's not like Pac was some mellow dude before Suge and them. It's just that with Death Row, his music started to match the violence in his life, not the other way around.

But I don't see that shyt as hypocritical anymore than I see MLK having affairs as hypocritical.

nikkaz being flawed doesn't mean that what they stand for is flawed.

This has been on my mind for the longest but people forget that pac was a mid level cat before death row :francis:

:francis:So, having the no. 1 album in the country for 4 weeks over people like Bruce Springsteen makes you "mid level"?

Out here in my damn drawls

So this was right after they got their trailers shot up in New York?

i always felt the beating was more about sending a message to dre than that video. sam sneed to dre during the 95/96 death row era was basically what scott storch and mel-man were to him during the 2001 era.

as far as tupac goes, he was a guy who had to move a lot and establish himself again and again in different tough surroundings. i know guys like that and they all behave the same way. he understood that if he didn't want to be bullied at death row he needed to be the number one bully and entertain the wolves and that's why he got so close with suge and kept instigating all this shyt to show his loyalty to the row.

A lodge of the Saints John of Jerusalem
dre left him out to dry
Yeah. He was yet another one of Dre's "silent partners" and was an important part of Death Row's sound low key. I hope ol boy is eating good off of his contributions. Daz, Sam Snead, Mel-Man, Cold 187um, Focus, etc the list goes on...Dre can't front and act like he did this shyt by himself. I was like:gladbron:when I heard. Quik say he was responsible for the snare for In Da Club, and was at just about all the sessions for GRODT, and even mixed some tracks. I remember having the same reaction when I found out that it was him and not Dre responsible for So Addictive after Dre was on MTV fronting like he did it.

While I think the key to longevity is to keep evolving, it is kind of funny how Dre's sound would change when he would fukk with different co-producers, and would all of a sudden quit fukking with them.

Sam Sneed debunked that though. They didn't give him a bran tumor, he just caught the beats for Dre instead of by them....he was going to be leaving to go to aftermath and they were already turnt up from getting shot at recently according to Sam himself.

Daz is full of shyt, so is OP.

Reading about the incident it always rubbed me the wrong way but from the way Sam describes it, it doesn't seem like he was just playing along with some fukk shyt. He specifically said he felt like Pac misjudged him and his actions regarding the Dre shyt and charging other artists at DR for features, not that he caved in to peer pressure on some school kid shyt. He also mentions it happend shortly after a shooting happened to whoever, so I'm sure that influenced how everybody was acting aside from the everyday wild shyt going on in those offices.

Still don't think you should go upside a mans head for wanting to leave or get paid but like most people I always thought it was straight up and down on some "you got too many east coast nikkas in your video" when it was more to it then that.

Dre left the lil homie on stuck :sadbron:

it's not about giving in to peer pressure, it's about avoiding pressure and bullying altogether by being the loudest and most vicious bully of them all. so whenever an opportunity arises, you prove your loyalty and commitment to the cause by questioning others and whenever shyt goes down, you become the leader of the pack, so that nobody confuses you with a victim. notice how he was the first to attack orlando anderson in vegas when he had no business even being involved in that shyt and could have easily let the weed carriers handle it. pac changed circles and affiliations qute a bit from a young age, he was relatively skinny and small and he went to art school. he was somebody who had something to prove when he was around goons and that's what ultimately cost him his life.

How can you use Pac being volatile against him, by pointing out how he'd beat up dudes, shoot cops, get into fist fights, but then on one hand call him fake, and claim he wasn't about that action? Which is it? Either way, he was a walking contradiction. But he still did alot of good for the community. Most of which is documented instead of speculation. Alot of what he was getting ready to do was even recorded.

Yeah that's what people get it twisted with me when it comes to Tupac I was in high school during his reign he was not that popular other than movies until really 1995 -96 and the way they put him on the pedestal today is so ridiculous I always says like what if Drake died right now they would say he was one of the greatest of all time just because he's popular at the time Tupac was not about uniting brothers he was just a talker nothing more nothing less

Most over rated ignorant rapper of all time and the cause of his death biggies death and a bunch of street people...a true idiot who didn't get to enjoy his life and wealth because he wanted to play Gangsta..
