Mitch is gonna be a UFA and reports are that NY has been trying to work out a deal all season but can't reach an agreement. They've been looking into alternatives all season too.
They couldn’t get a trade for him? SmH :snoop:

Even a playoff team would have paid something like a late first to make a championship run

Mitch needs to get his money. He can easily get 4/48 the Knicks are offering if he hits UFA.
This is the biggest L this season.

How do you get all these smart people in a room and everybody is either a p*ssy and/or makes dumb decisions like this. Mitch is literally their defense, they signed Noel who can’t play for another season and about to lose him to other teams. They don’t got a pg and they are about to lose their center.

When Mitch leaves us and BEASTS with a competent pg wherever he goes. I’m gonna be sad as fukk. What’s the point of having a good scouting department if you consistently squander the talent you find?

:francis: Well there you got it :snoop: the second best player in the youth group wants out…

It's gonna suck for sure...but I can't even blame him. He's 100% right. We always talk about him needing to show more on offense, but we don't even give him opportunities to do that. It would probably look ugly, but I'd love to see them feed him every now and again when he gets early, deep post position. Run a play for him every now and again. Same with Obi.

Love mitch, but I'm sorry I'm not giving him 80 million dollars. Let others pay him that. He's been working on his jumper for years now and I've seen him PLENTY of times under multiple coaches just not shoot it. No ones gonna run plays for a guy who has no confidence in himself.

Mitch will be catching simple passes from Lamelo or Cade and dunking all over MSG:francis:
He will, but do you deploy your financial freedom on essentially a Clint capella clone?

Unless we can trade Julius :jawalrus:

I essentially agree, and it's not a knock on Mitch, just the reality of paying non-Jokic/Embiid bigs.

If this team looked like a competent top four seed then you almost have to keep things intact and go for it, but I'm not sure they can justify it now given all the uncertainty and with how much of an anchor that Randle contract looks like :francis:
