PWTorch has confirmed with TNA sources that Matt Morgan was granted his release from TNA on Tuesday. The news was originally reported by Prowrestling.net.

Morgan was excluded from the Bound for Glory Series and only appeared on TNA television once in the last month - losing a four-way BFG Series qualifying match.

Prior to that, Morgan was written off television after "passing out" to Sting's Scorpion Deathlock in a #1 contender match to the TNA Title leading up to the Slammiversary PPV. Morgan then returned to television for the qualifying match before disappearing again.

So he wound up back in TNA, now that the whole thing ended, he probably thinks he can go to WWE.
