pretty much the same way. it's best when you do it on a hot day and a heating gun/blow dryer to loosen up the glue, then use the dental floss the take off the badges.
goo gone never really worked perfectly for me, I had to use wax wash liquid or that 3M adhesive remover to get all the stickiness off (just make sure you don't get the liquid on your tailights... or parts that can get stained).
after there was some ghosting, buffers are great if you can get access to one, for a regular person you can buy the Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 from any store and with some elbow grease, it'll come right out.
