Apparently he's argued in front of the SCOTUS several times. :ld:
Appointed to the office of Solicitor General of Texas by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott,[45][52] Cruz served in that position from 2003 to 2008.[30][43] The office had been established in 1999 to handle appeals involving the state, but Abbott hired Cruz with the idea that Cruz would take a "leadership role in the United States in articulating a vision of strict constructionism." As Solicitor General, Cruz argued before the Supreme Court of the United States nine times, winning five cases and losing four.[48]

Cruz has authored 70 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and presented 43 oral arguments, including nine before the United States Supreme Court.[39][45][53] Cruz's record of having argued before the Supreme Court nine times is more than any practicing lawyer in Texas or any current member of Congress.[54]

unfortunately he just doesn't have the charisma for it. which is sadly what you need nowadays.

He has plenty charisma

Dude had 30,000 people at rallies

I went to a couple rallies. They were lit.

He's not a lawyer and he's not rehearsed. But that's his appeal
