My girl is getting me a console soon , but i honestly have no idea which to get. During the gamecube,ps2,xbox gen i had all systems, but last gen i only had a 360. I'm leaning towards a ps4 though.

Get a gaming pc. That's the safest option I can recommend.
The general consensus is the PS4 is the all round better system specs wise and it's cheaper, from a physical point of view it looks better and the games (I just invested in a PS4 and it's barebones right now but I'm coming from the PS3) but that's not even a concern giving SONY's track record.
PS4 it makes no sense otherwise.

Don't think you'll be getting that any time soon. Have you seen Evolve? It's the new game from the L4D Devs.
Valve could get another team to make it, and they usually partner with Microsoft, but I doubt it would be exclusive for either console.

Evolve looks trash to me. I'll most likely just rock with a ps4 until any decision of left for dead 3 comes out to be real. If left for dead 3 does drop and it's an xbox exclusive then the ps4 is going in the bushes immediately.

I've put in the most time this gen on l4d2, so you can laugh all you want but it's an amazing game with infinite replayability
I have both, I play my ps4 much more. The ps4 has better hardware and is superior in pretty much every multi plat out. I can't wait for forza horizon 2 and Halo MCC on my xbone but I'd rather have bloodborne and uncharted over any xbox exclusive that's been announced. I also find the xbox UI, despite it being much prettier, to be much more laggy, like that shyt locked up on me twice yesterday while trying to preload forza horizon 2. Overall, I'm glad I have both but if I had to choose I'd pick ps4.
