I'm from Decatur. Grew up off Flat Shoals Pkwy/Boring Rd. South Dekalb is my mall.

If I'm outta town and people ask where I'm from I say Atlanta.

Click that link. Far away from what the Decatur website will tell you, but the address says Decatur. This is what I'm talking about when I say Decatur. It's also why say the Atlanta Metro is weird with how cities and unincorporated areas are split up. Around this area is majority black.

Makes sense. I have to remember that a lot of communities (many times rural) in the south may be outside of the boundaries of the city proper but still have the city mailing address.
