Why the fukk would a 1 player vs. 1 player online multiplayer game like Sports or Fighting games need dedicated severs more than online games with a group of people?

Bra cause it relying on one connection or the other, so if your connection is laggy its a 100 percent chance the game is laggy, on dedicated servers we playing on a neutral Connection, so if my connection is good I will have a lag free game and yours will be lagging

Bra I play madden and 2k online more than probably anybody on this site, I know what im talkin bout son

In a game wit a bunch of people on a peer to peer connection the game will try and find the best host and everybody will play on his connection

Regardless of all this p2p is holding online gaming back, because somebody will be host and they team will have an advantage over the other

I mean seriously does this apply to anything outside of FPS AKA COD which almost no one on this board gives a fukk about? BF4 and KZ have their own servers so no problem. Same with 2k and other sports.

no one is gonna use dedicated servers for sports games like that man. complete waste of resources. With sports games, as long as both parties have good connections you're fine.

No dev is gonna setup dedicated servers to host games for 2 players to play per hosted game. It's not happening. If you are having a bad game online.....that means that someone has a REAL shytty connection. Person with the worst speeds determine the lag in a game.

For FPS and other games with multiple uses per session, dedi servers are a must.

If any FPS doesn't have a dedicated server setup this upcoming gen, it's bushes status. BF4 , KZSF, and COD Ghosts all have them so it's all good.

Sports games play on p2p servers, which is easy to lag switch, make other players connection drop, and just all around lag the game when u want to

And 2k oline service has always been horrible laggy trash
