This could be explained away if he was going to be needed a lot more in the running game like he was in San Francisco before McCaffrey got there.

But he isn’t needed as much in the backfield with Brian Robinson solidified as the RB in Washington. And so the bulk seems odd.

Or maybe it’s just June and he will slim back down over the summer. It’s not like he’s Eddie Lacy.

Deebo has never been lean, though. His game is based on physicality. That doesn't work if he's lean like most other WRs.

All that said, if they figure it out McLaurin is the WR1 there so it's not like he has to be an All-Pro for Washington to get to its goals.

That relies on their defense more than anything.

Deebo can't break tackles like that anymore. At best he can be a safety valve on short to medium routes and hope that Kliff Kingsbury can scheme him into open field. Also Deebo dropped a shyt load of passes last year.
