Lol, I don't have any "ideals." I also don't have any illusions about what the military is about. I see myself basically as a mercenary. The military is a means for me to make a living- nothing more.
i respect that but have a plan while your in so when you get out after ur enlistment so you are not panicking "Oh shyt what do i do now". My suggestion while your in the military look at side hustle(Legal).. grab you sum IT certs look into real estate preferably Wholesaling (if your not overseas) etcccc.. Dont just get a paycheck from uncle sam but do other things as well to make money so when u leave you got options.
My step brother was in the air force and everything i told you he did it
I wish you the best :salute:

I'm not fully knowledgeable about the military but I hear it's very family friendly and u can make some money. Benefits are great and u can support urself and family pretty well with joining. The housing allowance, veteran preference for civilian jobs, student loan assistance, food allowance for family, health benefits for u and future family, respect from family and others for serving ur country, the people u will meet, ur growth and development, etc. This may be worth it. U can come in as an officer (more $$) versus just joining after high school...But if u joined after high school...they could've paid for ur tuition. I should've done it but I donno if my thyroid problems would've allowed me to join after college.

There are some drawbacks like traveling to countries u dont know, not doing exactly what u want at all times....would have to have discipline and safety is a concern but just make sure this is what u wanna do....which I think it is.

So I graduate from college in May, and I've made the decision to join the military afterwards. I've done some research, and that seems like the best option for me. The number one thing I want to be able to do is financially support myself so I can move away from my father (I can't tolerate that man, and vice versa). The military is a guaranteed paycheck and a place to stay, plus some pretty nice benefits and job training, and you get to play with some badass toys. There are downsides to being in the military of course, but overall I can't see any option better than the military right now.

Swear to GOD I was just talking to my boy about this. When I graduated high school I w as supposed to join the air force but I backed out the last minute on some sucka shyt..

My boy went and know he working in the Pentagon and he a regular hood nikka..

I always regretted not going, still to this day. So I decided im going to the Navy, I'm going to workout for 3 months everyday to get my mind and body right then I'm gone.

My boy just came from the Navy and he said it's sweet, this nikka went to dubai, and mad other countries.

I'm going to marry a bytch I trust so I could get an extra $2200 a month, I got it map o ed out..

I'm getting bored with life so I want a challenge and to see something different, I lived a crazy life fukked a lot of hoes so I'm good. I'm not scared of dying and I got a lot of anger in me..That's why I really want to go to the Army so I could kill a couple muthafukcas without going to jail...

But which ever one I Choose I know I'm going,.

I did 6 years enlisted active duty Air Force and 2 years as an activated reservist (got out last year). Finishing school this semester using the GI Bill and already have a job lined up. I enjoyed my time but I don't have plans to go back to the military. However, it opened a lot of doors for me and my veteran buddies and I don't regret enlisting at all.

Ask me anything... reply to this message or send a PM. I'm happy to give advice or point brehs in the right direction.

This is for the air force. If you see a 2w0 career/job do not go into. I repeat do not get a 2w0 career field.
w...why :lupe:

read on wiki it's for the ammunition dudes, and their part is like an hour away from the base to avoid explosions

Go Officer or don't go in at all.

THIS!! You would be a fool to join with a degree and not be an officer.

My cousin graduated from the Air Force academy last year and is an officer now. Funny thing is he flunked out of ECU as a freshman and ended up going from the Air Force prep school to the academy. :patrice:He played the game right
