A lot of people were acting super doubtful about the prospects of this kinda thing working. One of the problems with making progress is having enough people believe it’s possible. By the nature of this system, we’re bred to believe possibilities only come from “mainstream” institutions and more conventional routes. All to practice expediency with the pay off.
Deion has it all and more, so he can afford to take a chance on Jackson State. But it’s the fact that he actually has conviction in his mission that makes this great. He showing that this can be done successfully. Kudos to PrimeTime he a legend for this.

. That’s how we got in this position — by hiring a guy that was not ready for what it fully entails to coach at this level. In a few years if Ray Lewis decided to become a coach one night, and Miami had a opening — would Miami hire him to be HC? Hell no. Exact same situation. Now, as far as Deion and FSU down the line? We’ll see.
