Nah.

Romo carried shyt teams with shyt coaching and shyt defense that deserved to win 4-5 games a year to 8-12 Ws a year.

Romo in 2014: 12-4
Weeden/Cassel in 2015: 4-12

Watch more ESPN, breh :tyron:
Romo was a beast. But when the team did had a lot of money on him and for the most part the entire supporting cast - it was him occasionally him fukking up that often sent the boys losing and home chillin. They always won games people felt they should lose in the regular season, and lost games people felt they should have won in the playoffs, regular season & pre season. I ain’t mad at Romo, he just shouldn’t have been talkin’ that noise.

Deion and Romo hate each other for different reasons.

Prime is a HOFer, with 2 rings, multiple All-Pros and is widely considered among the best ever in the NCAA and NFL. Dude was a legit baseball player and damn near won a World Series ring. However even with all that Tony is already a better announcer than Deion will ever be. Tony got close to the Jones family and is making connections....breh is gonna be like Roger Staubach moneywise with John Madden video games. Deion thought he was in good, but is now realizing there are layers to this shyt. Tony is being treated like a son while Deion got that second cousin treatment.

Tony hates Deion because no matter what he does, Deion will have the rings and accomplishments that Tony always wanted. Deion was a hard worker but Tony probably thinks Prime just coasted because of his 4.2-40yd dash. Deion put in work but his talent allowed him to make extremely gifted people look ordinary as fukk. They both have what the other wants.

Alotta former players, especially from his era, feel this way about Prime - Boomer Esiason, for example. You can tell every time he mentions his name.

Oh Boomer hates him. Deion was cocky AND good....and those QB's couldn't do anything to stop him. I think a lot of the athletes born in the 70's (The T.O., Keyshawn etc. generation), took their cues from Prime. The 80's and 90's babies have all the attention they want with Instagram, Twitter etc., so they'll go about things a little differently.

Where is this narrative that Romo hates Deion coming from?

Cause he said he didn't tackle? Literally every analyst or fan who has watched football has thought, known, and probably said this.

Romo has never really shyt on Deion or gone after him for any sort of issues. Just mentioned him while making a point in passing...

It's pretty evident Deion did not appreciate the call-out from Romo, but he went at him pretty personally. He clearly harbors negative feelings towards Romo. I don't think Romo could give a fukk less about Deion, though.

I'm not suggesting that Romo started it......but I don't think he's a fan right now. Probably respected him a long time ago, but it's just like when you meet your sports heroes for the first time and realize they're douches. Deion is that guy. Romo probably has a more up-close look at Prime and views him much more harshly based on personal experience than the average dude. The Marcus Peter/Deion Sanders comp that Romo made? You don't make that on a national telecast unless you have a little salt for someone.
