Most people wouldn't call Jackson a "Major" city.... but the media will use created metrics to drive narratives.
130k is their line of demarcation of what's considered major or not...but there is no actual definition on how populated a city has to be to be considered major..
with that logic, that'd mean there are ~25 "major" cities in the Greater LA Area.... and that's a bunch of cities most people wouldn't consider major.

It’s somewhat funny to see how people defend those that they look up to or like. Those people can obviously do wrong as well. To cover it is where you lose credibility.
