So seems like a lot of folks here would opt for favorable booking in a company over making more money. Interesting
More like they mutually agreed to keep the reason why under wraps."Good terms"
Del Rio did his year and ended up with a good amount of money, had a WrestleMania match with interaction with legends and a ride or die chick that's willing to throw her career away to follow him so I can't say he totally lost

He was promised a mainevent runWhy did he even come back in the 1st place?
His 2nd stint was a complete failure and waste of time

For Del Rio, absolutely. His career is naturally winding down anyway. If he can get a better guaranteed money deal in Mexico or Japan, sure. But if he's doing indie bookings and piecemealing the last 5 years of his career, that 5 years is going to stretch into 10, and then who knows? Honestly, he shouldn't have burned his bridges with AAA - as crappy as Konnan and Court Bauer are reporting them to be. There's always CMLL, I guess.
For Paige, women's wrestlers have an age limit. 35, tops. Our culture reveres youth and beauty over all other things and most women start to think about their biological clock (unless they're child-free philosophically) eventually. Hell, Layla was 38 and still looking amazing, and fans on other forums were calling her Grandma. Paige realistically has shortened her career by taking all those bumps as a teenager. If she wrestles past 30, it will be a miracle of God and DDP Yoga. If she does quit, she's walking away from WWE money, Total Divas money, WWE Studios money, magazine covers, endorsements, merch -- all that. She could be saving and planning to make a second act of her life outside the ring with that money.
Unless she's just going on hiatus to heal up, the longer she's out of the big leagues, the less she has to fall back on when she's past the peak earning years. And I doubt she wants to be taking flat back bumps into the menopause, like her mother.
I don't know about that one.Strike 1 - On his debut back they linked Alberto Del Rio with Zeb Coulter in a nonsense "Mexican America" angle that made no damn sense
Strike 2 - They gave Alberto Del Rio that horrible shytty ass top rope corner stomp finisher that only cruiserweights should do and even then not as a finisher
Strike 3 - They put Alberto Del Rio in a foreign stable that on paper looked like a good idea but ended up being jobbers to Roman Reigns for months
