But for Del Rio? Who gave a promo on Main Event which is a show that most people don't even watch?

Thats the beauty of it........no one expected it. Anyone interested in the story probably read that he cut an important promo on main event. How do you watch main event? by ordering the network :gladbron:

Mo Money! Mo Money! Mo Money!:stylin:

Its a known fact, Vince Mcmahon during Del Rio main event matches (not the show main event), was backstage smiling like a proud dad watching his only son that made it :wow:

They know Del Rio is damaged goods....How do you build him back up? Controversy :banderas:

they got people talking (this thread did numbers even though supposedly no one gives a shyt about him :sas2:)

I for one cant wait for him to come back and jump start the new nation as their financial backer :banderas:

he'll probably introduce a new signature move. Instead of the super kick, he does a slap....the Cism Check:merchant:

But I doubt it :sadcam:

They probably threw him out of the building like Gorilla did to Heenan

and said "adios, amigo" :mjpls:

This ain't no "work"...this is real...and the E are on some :ufdup:shyt...

IF this is a work they will mention it next Monday...and ADR would come in at Summerslam and attack Triple H or some shyt...which would be :whew:

But knowing how the E are..they RARELY do smart shyt like that....

Don't say nothing when Punk walks out and quits :sas1:...but when another wrestler reacts to some cac making a racial comment and not only gets fired for it. But he gets roasted publicly about it ..:sas2:

Can somebody run down what's going on here right quick :pachaha:

Social Media manager talked shyt till he got lockjaw, then he tried to play the tough guy till ADR slapped him so he got fired, then the Social Media Manager caught feelings and took to twitter to voice his displeasure like Paul's friend Mark

We already know WWE is gonna throw salt in the wound. Bet on monday its gonna be a backstage segment where someone gets slapped, that doesnt mean this entire situation is a work, they've done this numerous times.

I really don't see this as a work.....:yeshrug:

Del Rio had to burn some bridges and got himself blackballed.....the wwe account was shytting on him which is highly unusual giving how strict they are for saying something bad. Even if this was a work, do yall think the wwe is smart enough to even set this up? lol It wouldn't make any sense given that Del Rio has no upside and was a complete afterthought. Summerslam is right around the corner so this storyline wouldn't even get the time & effort to be developed

But if is this is actually a work though? :snoop:

The name of Alberto Del Rio remains a hot topic after the four-time world champion was released from his WWE contract on Thursday.
Shortly after WWE announced that Del Rio was let go "due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee," Ring of Honor founder and RF Video owner Rob Feinstein claimed that Del Rio slapped a member of WWE's social media team at a television taping this week. This claim was backed up by both F4WOnline.com and PWInsider.com. To add a new layer to the story, the identity of the person Del Rio had the backstage altercation with has apparently been revealed.

As members of the F4WOnline.com message board were discussing Del Rio's termination and speculating which WWE employee was on the receiving end of his slap, Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer remarked "Cody Barbierri."

On LinkedIn and Twitter, Barbierri identities himself as WWE's manager of social media live events. Though not identified by name, F4WOnline.com's updated story on Del Rio's termination says the altercation involved the social media manager of WWE.

According to the new report, WWE's social media manager was supposedly asked to wipe his plate clean following a meal in catering. He allegedly joked that it was Del Rio's job to clean the plate, which could be perceived as racist by Hispanic people. Del Rio was informed of the comment, and confronted him. The individual did not apologize for his remark and then smiled at him. Fuming, Del Rio slapped him.

Addressing the matter Friday evening, WWE released a statement via Twitter asking fans to direct their anger toward Del Rio since he did not conduct himself in a professional matter: "@VivaDelRio is responsible for his own actions. If you're angry at anyone, be angry at Alberto. There's no excuse for a pro athlete not to conduct themselves in a professional manner."

Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE's Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events and Creative, re-Tweeted the comment in its entirety.

According to F4WOnline.com, Del Rio is believed to be subject to a 90-day no-compete clause, which would prevent him from immediately joining TNA and AAA. Both organizations are reportedly interested in his services.

Honestly this would be a really good angle. It would make this SS PPV alot more interesting because tbh right now i'm not all that excited. Being hit with a nice little curve like this would be great for business and could generate a legitimate reaction for Del Rio(something he clearly has trouble with as far as his character is concerned)

Boy, those tweets from the official WWE twitter really put a twist on this.....

The way them shyts are worded......and the fact that Big Nose retweeted it :mindblown:

If he retweeted it, then that squashes the theory that the social media dude overstepped his bounds by using WWE's twitter to express personal feelings......hell, the tweets might not have even been his idea.......

That tells me one of 3 things....either:

- this whole thing is a work (unlikely, though.....all this for Del Rio, of all people?)
- the reported story about exactly what went down during the incident (dude simply making a racist remark, and Del Rio slapping him for it) isn't accurate.....or is completely off
- the reported story may be true....but he might have done some other unreported shyt, that finally pushed them to release him

I can't believe WWE would be so reckless as to shyt on Del Rio like this, if the racist remark story is true (and assuming Del Rio didn't do anything else). I could MAYBE see them overreacting by firing him over it (Daniel Bryan tie-choking, anyone?).......even though he was provoked by the remark (not saying he had to slap dude for it, but you can't act like dude was 100% innocent, either)

But then to co-sign them tweets, which makes it sound as if Del Rio was 100% wrong in a scenario where he was responding to racism?

This seems like something that could end up in court......and if the WWE is aware of that, then I can't see them co-signing such reckless talk on twitter when you consider what's said to have happened during the incident. I would think they would just release him with that simple statement they gave, then shut the fukk up about it

EDIT: I just realized they have the tweets showing on WWE.com, on the page about Del Rio's release :dwillhuh:
