I've been in a sort of similar situation except all of us were mates so i didn't need to mend shyt with my friend but it would've made it awkward when i kicked it with other mates cause he would've been around too. I ended up telling him my exact issue and he apologized and explained his side of the story. I know he's not gonna change his ways (hits us up when needs shyt but always busy when you need help with something) so just keep him at an arms length now.
You need to hit your homie up and tell him exactly what you're telling us and take it from there. If he truly sees you as a friend he should be respectful in his response. If he's not then it's time to cut your losses or even throw hands so he can finally see you ain't no bytch.

Yeah I know you were referring to his dead friend’s gay brother, but you still reminded him of his dead friend.

Instead of saying something like that, when he said the “how does it feel to be gay” shyt you could have responded with something light like “ I don’t know? You tell me since you’re always bringing it up?”


Then again maybe it’s for the best. If your friend is always joking about gay stuff then he sounds pretty immature. I don’t know anyone that still talks like that past high school and even then that was mostly white boy humor.
