I sorta been following this stuff since Nintendo Power magazine.
I was a member of the NES Fanclub
Xbox had its own Tennis, NFL and NBA games on the orginal Xbox.
Sony had their own NFL games with 989 studios. Nintendo had Kobe Bryant and Ken Griffy Jr
Anything of that nature, game related? I probably know :francis:

I believe this to be the case for only baseball.

MLB structured it like that.
NBA is happy with competiting mainline titles but for arcade games, it's why EA and Midway switched off on years.
NFL came to EA for exclusivity.
NHL - :yeshrug:
