You can let yourself be targeted, or let yourself be educated. It's about how you frame your situation.
Although I have to admit I don't use Instagram day to day. Twitter is better for learning things. Instagram ads are still one of the most powerful business tools in existence today though.
When I get something set up, making Facebook and Instagram accounts for it will be the first thing I do, personally.
Twitter if you hustle on there right you can use it as a business advancement tool and a social advancement tool. Perfect for networking simply due to the mass amount of users and accounts it boasts. Ultimate promotional tool.
That's what I was primarily using it for. All of my social media accounts are for my music.
I could never get my Instagram to pop...it has never reached above 165 followers. My life ain't that poppin...
My Twitter was at 1,200 followers and I was averaging 250,000 impressions for my tweets in a BAD week. Unfortunately I attracted to many haters...mainly trolls and racist Trump supporting white people and those are the ones that hack accounts and run targeted harassment campaigns to get people suspended/banned for nothing. That's the number one thing I dont like about Twitter...lots of haters.
