Best team doesn't always win. Its not like they flamed out in the first round or something they made it to the chip. Would you claim those Phi Slamma Jamma teams weren't some of the best ever just because they didn't win it all:what:
If we're talking about the same Duke team, the UConn team they lost to was better than they were.

Yea, I know the spread in that 99 title game was something crazy, but that UConn team only lost 2x all year and one of those losses was missing 2 starters, including Rip. That team was dominant and was ranked #1 for more weeks than Duke was.

Center self, inner self
I got my money on that 1990 UNLV team but that 1996 UK team is a close second.
Agreed.
Teams back in the day would of wiped them off the floor since most of them stayed for their Junior and Senior year.
If we starting 1997-present I think the 2005 Tar Heels and 2006-7 Florida squads would give them a hell of a game not to mention the 2010 Kentucky squad (Wall, bledsoe, Cousins and Patterson) could smoke them if they really put the effort in. And I'm not gonna even get into the Anthony Davis 2012 squad.
Agreed
- '10 Kentucky with Wall & Cousins was better on NBA talent alone, they just didn't fully buy in to Calipari. Outside of Towns & maybe Cauley-Stein most these dudes will ride the bench in the league.
- '12 Kentucky with Anthony Davis was probably better.
- '09 UNC with Lawson, Danny Green, Hansbrough, Ed Davis & Tyler Zeller.
- Both Florida teams with Noah & Horford.
- shyt, I might even take the '07 Ohio State team with Oden & Conley.

:yeshrug: That's just in the last 7 - 8 years. I'm waiting to see them play Arizona and/or Duke. Both of them are the only equally talented teams this year.
Agreed

I think i'd take those Kareem and Walton Bruins. Also lets wait till the season is over to crown them the GOATS.

Can we name any other team as deep with 6'10 and above players that are ATHLETIC?

It's almost impossible to rebound and score on this team.

And yall are gassing that John Wall and Boogie Cousins team just because they were on it. That team wasn't very mature from a basketball perspective and it's why they didn't win it.
